Iranian ambassador to Turkey in a meeting with the newly-appointed leader of Welfare Party of Turkey Temel Karamollaoğlu said Tehran believes that Iran and Turkey benefit from Turkey’s stability and development.
Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian Fard referred to Iran’s support of Turkey’s government, people and democracy during the failed military coup attempted in Turkey on July 15, adding that Welfare Party plays a major role in reinforcing ties between the two countries.
Iranian envoy reiterated that Iran has always been against sectarian movements and Tehran believes that salvation of the Islamic world depends on creating unity and sympathy among Muslims.
He added that D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation (Developing-8) has been established to develop cooperation among Islamic societies.
Karamollaoğlu emphasized the importance of developing ties between Iran and Turkey, saying that all Muslims are brothers and establishing unity and solidarity is of importance in the current complicated conditions of the region
