Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said the statement recently issued by the European Union (EU) offers a positive prospect for ties with the European countries.
During his press briefing on Monday, he said that the EU, in its latest statement issueed after the election of Donald Trump as the next US president a few weeks ago, illuminated on its future policies towards Iran.
He said the major part of the statement which was released after the EU foreign ministerial meeting, contained positive points towards Iran.
Qasemi said the statement stressed the important point of JCPOA implementation which shows the EU attitude towards the deal.
He said Iran continues exchanging views with the EU countries on the JCPOA as foreign minister deputy held the second round of talks with the body in Brussels last week year with the third round to happen in six months in Tehran.
Commenting on the last visit to foreign ministry deputy Majid Takht-e Ravanchi to France during which he met with a number of ranking French officials, he said it was decided that the first economic commission between the two countries meet next year after two decades.
