President Hassan Rouhani and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday highlighted the Syrian peace talks.
The two presidents on phone emphasized the need to draft an action plan for resumption of Syrian peace talks by Syrian parties in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The Russian Presidential office said that they reviewed desperate humanitarian situation in Aleppo and sabotage of the terrorists to set on fire 20 buses sent by the Syrian government to evacuate civilians from Aleppo.
The two presidents emphasized the need to resume diplomatic talks to end the sufferings of the Syrian people.
They said the upcoming session of the representatives of the Syrian government and the opposition groups taking part in the talks is of importance.
The talks between the two countries’ leaders, that is to be held in Moscow on Tuesday on the threshold of the tripartite and separate meetings of Iranian foreign and defense ministers and their Turkish and Russian counterparts, are of high importance.
